Acute Care Common Stem
Acute Care Common Stem training aims to provide trainees with a broad base of training initially in Acute Medicine, Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine. During the first two years of this three year programme trainees will be exposed to Acute Medicine, Anaesthesia, and Emergency Medicine. In their final CT3 year trainees will spend 12 months in their chosen sub-specialty. Following successful completion of this core training applicants will be able to compete in open competition for vacancies in Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine and Anaesthesia that will be available nationally.
